For those of you who may have missed this at our Junior Presentation Day or on TV and social media, the Lemon Face Challenge is a call out to everyone to help raise awareness for a terrible cancer known as DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). Sadly a relative of one of our clubs members, young Annabelle Potts, was diagnosed with DIPG and as incredibly hard as this is for young Annabelle and her family, Annabelle has been fighting hard and is now doing an excellent job raising awareness and funds to help other kids like her all around the world.
The Lemon Face Challenge requires participants to;
1) Record yourself eating a lemon wedge
2) Explain that you are doing it to raise awareness for DIPG
3) Share your video on social media and nominate some friends to do it.
4) Hashtag #loveforannabelle #dipgawareness #lemonfacechallenge
5) Don’t forget to make it a public post so we can show Annabelle and make her smile
Since Annabelle launched the campaign here in Australia it has gone viral with many famous participants posting their Lemon Faces online. NRL stars, channel 7, 9 and 10 show hosts, politicians and even the Wiggles have posted their attempts online all thanks to Annabelle and all in support of helping kids with DIPG.
If you are too scared to do the challenge and would like to make a donation which will go directly to DIPG research in Australia, please donate to the Isabella and Marcus foundation: https://donorbox.org/the-isabella-and-marcus-foundation and then do the challenge anyway!
